Stamkos - Lightning - 46 pts. for the rookie last
year and most of those coming in the second half of the
season. After being worked over by Tampa's short lived
coach, Barry Melrose, Stamkos became comfortable with
the speed of the NHL game and started to really shine
late in the season. Expect even better numbers this year
by the formal number one pick. |

Toews - Blackhawks - If you thought 34 goals and
35 assists were spectacular from this kid, wait until
2009 - 2010. Hossa's in town and Toew's numbers may sky
rocket if he sees consistent playing time with Hossa. |

Brassard - Blue Jackets - Parise was last year's
breakout that struck gold and 2009 -2010 will Brassard
post great numbers for any fantasy owner. You should be
able to get him in the later rounds, although we have
him ranked in the top ten for centers this year. |

- Flames - The Flames are in great position to
compete next season with big free agent moves lately.
Cammalleri is gone and this should open up more ice time
for a guy like Bourque. He skated in 58 games scoring
21 goals and 40 points. Definitely worth keeping an eye
on. |

| Steve Sullivan
- Predators - Sullivan was on this last year,
but only skated in 41 games last season for the Predators.
He managed 11 goals and 21 assists in those games, which
put him on pace for 64 points if he played all season.
Here's another steal for fantasy owners in later rounds
or even as a free agent, depending on the depth of your
league. |

Kulemin - Leafs - The NHL is stacked with left
wingers, so finding more than a couple steals at this
position will be tough. As far as second year players
go, Kulemin is a good bet to post solid numbers this season.
Toronto seems to be heading in the right direction for
a change, and Kulemin's 15 goal 31 point rookie season
should be an indicator that he'll be a regular contributor
next season for the Leafs. |

- Ducks - 57 points in 64 games as a rookie. He
picked up over 30 goals, as well. Another rookie last
season who really started to find himself late in the
season. Ryan had respectable numbers in the postseason,
too. 7 points in 13 games. |

Versteeg - Blackhawks - Obviously he's a guy on everyone's radar. The young talent in Chicago runs as deep as it does in Pittsburgh. Versteeg's numbers - 78 games, 22 goals, 31 assists, 53 points. |

Zherdev -Rangers - We feel the Rangers offense can't be as dismal as they were last season and Zherdev will be a player who helps turn the ship. Last season he posted his 3rd 50 plus point season of his career and seems very comfortable in the offensive zone. |

- Blues - The young and much hyped Johnson is finally
healthy. The form Golden Gopher is poised to make a real
impact at the NHL level for the first time in his brief
and injury filled career. Johnson could be a real force
for fantasy owners this season. Depending on the depth
of your league, you may pick him up in the very late rounds. |

Letang - Pittsburgh - Gonchar is back and he's
Pittsburgh's number one quarterback on the power play.
However, Letang has been asked to carry more of the
burden of producing offense from the blue line. Coach
Dan Blysthma will deploy more of an offensive attack
this year and Letang has already proven his skills at
the shootout and some clutch goals through last year's
Cup run.

Campoli - Senators - Campoli is now in Ottawa and
away from paper thin level of talent on Long Island. Obviously,
the Senators had a disappointing season last year, and
have had a circus to deal with leading up to the season.
The bottom line... there is still talent on this team.
Campoli tallied 13 points in 25 games last year for the
Senators. |

- Ducks - Hiller got his break last season when
J.S. Giguere seemed to lose his old form. Hiller played
in 46 games going 23-14-1 with 4 shutouts. Hiller is 27
years old and should see the vast majority of starts for
the Ducks. This is team that has a nice balance of young
guys and veterans, and the man in the crease should see
a nice point total for fantasy owners. |

| Pekka Rinne
- Predators - In 52 games last season the rookie
posted 7 shutouts while picking up 29 wins. The 29 wins
was good enough to finish sixth overall in the NHL in
that department. Everyone knows Steve Mason and everyone
will know who Pekka Rinne is this year. . |

Huet - Blackhawks - Huet's time is now. The Blackhawks
are one of the most exciting young teams and went all
the way to the conference finals last season. Huet now
has some experience under his belt and should begin to
live up to the expectations. |
